Heavy rain warning for two days in Chhattisgarh, IMD issued alert

Raipur. The pace of rain which had stopped for the last few days is going to increase once again. Due to the effect of monsoon system, there is a possibility of good rain across the state on 24 and 25 August.

On the other hand, from June 1 to August 21, the state has received 855.8 mm of rain, which is three percent more than normal. So far, only four districts in the state have received less rainfall. On Wednesday, Ratanpur received the highest 8 cm of rain. Apart from this, light to moderate rain also occurred in other areas.

Due to less rain for the last few days, the temperature has increased and the humidity has also increased. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Raipur was recorded at 35.0 degree Celsius, which was 4.9 degrees more than normal.

However, after noon, the mood of the weather changed a bit in various areas of the state including Raipur and there was light rain with thunder and lightning, which also provided some relief from the humidity.

There will be light rain in many areas today

Meteorologist HP Chandra said that a low pressure area is located over North Bangladesh and the cyclonic circulation of upper air with it is spread up to 9.6 km height. A low pressure area is likely to increase in the North Bay of Bengal by August 24.

Due to its effect, light to moderate rain will occur in various areas of the state on Thursday. After this, the rain activity will increase from Friday.

Due to good rains, farmers are expected to have a good harvest. They are looking very happy with this, but where it is raining more than required, it can also cause damage to the crops.
