Gwalior Kidnapping Case: 13 Hours of Fear Ends as Little Shivaay Returns Home Safe
For 13 hours and 33 minutes, little Shivaay was in the clutches of kidnappers. But now, he is back home safe with his parents. The fear of being caught forced the criminals to flee, and public outrage played a crucial role in ensuring his release. While Shivaay’s safety was the top priority, people are now demanding strict action against the kidnappers—so harsh that it sends shivers down their spines. The daring crime deserves an equally strong punishment. Though the child has returned home, the criminals are still at large, posing a challenge for the police. However, the investigation has led to crucial leads, and teams are working tirelessly to track them down.
14 Hours of Nonstop Efforts by Police
The rescue operation saw the involvement of two Inspector Generals (IGs), the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), and three Superintendents of Police (SPs) from different districts. Key officers, including ASP Shri Krishna Lalchandani, CSP Ayush Gupta, and CSP Nagendra Singh Sikarwar, along with eight inspectors and around 100 police personnel, worked relentlessly for 14 hours to ensure Shivaay’s safe return and to hunt down the kidnappers.
Protests and Market Shutdown Over the Incident
The incident left the local business community furious. In protest, traders shut down the Murar market and staged a roadblock at Baradari Square, raising slogans against the police and administration. However, once Shivaay returned home safe, the anger turned into appreciation, and people started chanting in support of the police. Officers were welcomed with gratitude for their efforts.
Leaders Extend Support to the Family
As soon as the news of Shivaay’s kidnapping spread on Thursday morning, local representatives and business leaders visited the family at their residence in CP Colony, Murar. They consoled Shivaay’s parents, Aarti and Rahul Gupta, assuring them that the entire city stood by them.
Following Shivaay’s safe return, District Minister-in-Charge Tulsi Ram Silawat expressed his gratitude to the police, administration, media, and the people of Gwalior for their collective efforts. He praised the police for their swift action.
Speaker of the Assembly Also Intervened
Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar was quick to respond upon hearing the news of the abduction. He spoke with senior police officials and assured the family that the state government was fully committed to bringing Shivaay home safe. His son, Devendra Tomar, also visited the family to offer support. Later, Mayor Shobha Sikarwar met with them, reiterating that the entire city stood with them.
A Community United in Prayer
Business leaders, including Chamber of Commerce President Praveen Agrawal, along with several traders, visited the Gupta family and assured them that Shivaay would be back soon. Social media was flooded with appeals urging people to empathize with the family, reminding them that Shivaay was like their own son, nephew, or grandson.
Member of Parliament Bharat Singh Kushwaha personally called the family, assuring them that the police were actively working on the case and that Shivaay would soon be reunited with his loved ones.
