For the first time in the history of Madhya Pradesh Police, 15 gallantry medals were awarded in a year
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously taking effective action as per the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who is determined to completely destroy Naxal activities in Madhya Pradesh. On the eve of Independence Day, the Government of India has announced to award gallantry medals to 12 officers and employees of Madhya Pradesh Police. As a result of defeating 6 hardcore Naxalites by displaying courage and intelligence in 4 encounters during anti-Naxal operations, it has been announced to award “Veerta Medal” to 11 officers/employees and another officer in another case. Three gallantry medals were announced on 25 January 2024, the eve of Republic Day this year. In this way, in the year 2024, it has been announced to award 14 gallantry medals in anti-Naxal operations and another officer in another case. Thus, this year a total of 15 gallantry medals will be received by officers and employees of Madhya Pradesh Police.
On the eve of Independence Day, it has been announced to give President’s Distinguished Service Medal to 4 police officers of the state and Commendable Service Medal to 14. On the announcement of these awards, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and DGP Shri Sudhir Saxena have congratulated all the officers and employees to be awarded the medals. The medals will be distributed on the Independence Day celebrations next year i.e. 15 August 2025. This is the first occasion in the history of Madhya Pradesh Police when brave police personnel are being honored with 15 gallantry medals in a single year. This medal not only symbolizes the courage, patience and enthusiasm of the winners, but it also reflects the effective leadership of Madhya Pradesh Police.
These will get the gallantry medal
ADG (Secret Talks) Shri Jaideep Prasad said that the gallantry medal has been announced to be given to Superintendent of Police Shri Sameer Saurabh, Sub Inspector Shri Motiur Rahman, Sub Inspector Shri Puneet Gehlot, Inspector Shri Ashish Sharma, Sub Inspector Shri Mohammad Ayub Khan, Sub Inspector Shri Ashish Sharma, Sub Inspector Shri Mohanlal Marawi, Sub Inspector Shri Namdev Sharma, Assistant Sub Inspector Shri Rajesh Dhurve, Assistant Sub Inspector Shri Arun Mishra, Assistant Sub Inspector Shri Atul Kumar Shukla and Head Constable Shri Hanumant Tekam. On the eve of Republic Day this year, it was announced to award gallantry medals to three jawans of Madhya Pradesh Police, which included Inspector Shri Anshuman Singh Chauhan, Head Constable Shri Atul Kumar Shukla and Head Constable Shri Manoj Kumar Kapse. It is worth mentioning that Assistant Sub Inspector Atul Kumar Shukla has received the gallantry medal twice in the past and Inspector Ashish Sharma has also been announced two gallantry medals.
These will get the President’s Distinguished Service Medal
President’s Distinguished Service Medal has been announced to be given to Additional Director General of Police Mr. Chanchal Shekhar, Inspector General of Police Mr. Arvind Kumar Saxena, Inspector General of Police Mr. Rajesh Kumar Hingankar and Superintendent of Police Mr. Ramadhar Bhardwaj.
These will get the Commendable Service Medal
Commendable Service Medal will be given to Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Pankaj Shrivastava, Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Rajesh Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Vineet Kapoor, Deputy Sub-Inspector Ms. Anjana Tiwari, Superintendent of Police Mr. Yogeshwar Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Mahavir Singh Mujalde, Assistant Inspector General of Police Mrs. Irmin Shah, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Sanjay Kumar Dubey, Inspector Mr. Suresh Kumar Bajanghate, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Manvendra Singh Kushwah, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Ravi Kumar Dwivedi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Praveen Narayan Baghel, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Surendra Singh Sikarwar and Sub Inspector Mr. Shailendra Singh Rajput.
