
Uttarakhand: Uttarakhand’s well-known folk singer, Saurabh Maithani, has tied the knot. Today, on March 5, he took the sacred vows with Tripta Kukreti at the historic wedding site of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati—Triyuginarayan Temple. A special highlight of the wedding was that Saurabh had his wedding invitation printed in the Garhwali language. Talking about the bride, Tripta Kukreti hails from Barsudi village in Dwarikhal, Pauri district. She is a music and dance teacher in Dehradun. The couple completed their wedding rituals in the ancient mandap of the Triyuginarayan Temple. Saurabh’s wedding invitation, titled “Saurabh Ke Byo Ki Chitthi”, went viral on social media and was loved by many. As a popular Garhwali singer, Saurabh Maithani’s songs are admired not just in India but across the world. Originally from Quilakhal village in the Bhardar Patti area of Jakholi Block, Rudraprayag district, Saurabh has given many hit songs, including “Main Pahadun Ku Raibasi,” “Tu Dilli Raun Wali,” “Wakhi Meru Gaon,” and “Bijuli.”
