Raipur – Under the leadership of the Chief Minister of the state Vishnudev Sai and guidance of Deputy Chief Minister of Urban Administration and Development Department Arun Saw, on the innovative initiative of Urban Administration and Development Department and Raipur District Administration to streamline the administrative functioning of Nagar Palika Nigam in the public interest, as per the orders of Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and as per the instructions of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra and Additional Commissioner US Agarwal, a new software based on FMS has been prepared for online monitoring of the movement of entire work payment files etc. of Nagar Palika Nigam Raipur and it has been made online. All the information related to the Finance Management System will now be immediately available on the screen at a click in Nagar Nigam Raipur. According to the information, the work of the budget of 1 thousand crores of Raipur Municipal Corporation was being done manually before this. Due to this, the work was being done on manual basis to get the information of the income earned by the Municipal Corporation from property tax and other corporation taxes, including the accounts of the Central Government, Urban Administration and Development Department of Chhattisgarh Government, Raipur District Administration, infrastructure item being done in 70 wards of Raipur Municipal Corporation area, general item, amount sanctioned in development works for expansion of public facilities in public interest from various funds, the work done so far and its expenditure and the remaining amount. Due to extra time taken in this work, practical problems were being faced in completing the schemes 100% within the time limit.

An innovative initiative was taken by considering it from the point of view of public interest and the entire work of Finance Management System FMS and information about payment including movement of files was immediately obtained on the screen at one click through the software. The FMS system has been made online in Raipur Municipal Corporation. This will bring a lot of speed and transparency in all the works along with making the system efficient from the administrative point of view, the direct benefit of which will be easily available to the common people who come to the Municipal Corporation for work every day in the capital city in accordance with the public welfare intention of the Central Government and the State Government.
