Fit India Movement is an important part of Prime Minister Modi’s vision of fitness and health

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that we are making committed efforts for the overall development of sports and players. We are moving forward in this direction with true sportsmanship. Under the Fit India Movement, the first Fit India Club of the state has been launched today. He said that this initiative is an important part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision regarding fitness and health. The talk of forming Fit India Club will now reach every village in the entire state in a positive manner. This will make children and the elderly aware of their health. He said that our government has now made sports a curriculum (subject). Students will be able to make their career in the fields of lecturer, assistant professor, trainer etc. by taking education in this subject. We have increased the respect of sports and players of the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration of the first phase of Fit India Club and the Bhoomi Pujan program of the second phase in Gautam Nagar on Sunday. Union Minister of Labor and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya was specially present in the program.
Establishment of Fit India Club in such a short time is commendable
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to make the youth of the country physically and mentally fit, we have to connect with our glorious past. Our history is full of stories of physical art skills and valor. The establishment of Fit India Club in a short time is really very commendable. For this, the Sports Department and Municipal Corporation Bhopal deserve congratulations. The Chief Minister said that Khelo-Badho Abhiyan is an opportunity for the players. This is a platform for the players to groom their talent. Players should join it with full hard work and dedication and groom their talent. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the main goal of the government is to make the youth aware of sports and provide them better opportunities through modern infrastructure. Fit India Movement will inspire the youth to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
Our youth are the hope and expectation of the country: Union Minister Dr. Mandaviya
Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that our youth are the hope and expectation of the country. We are trying to keep them fit again. Sports infrastructure is being developed in the country. We will soon bring a new National Sports Policy. In this, we will work by making an action plan for sports, sports infrastructure, training of players and trainers on a wide scale. He said that we want to organize Olympic Games in the country in 2036. For this, we have to develop the sports infrastructure of the country and come in the top-ten country at the global level. We will give all kinds of opportunities to all players between 9 to 15 years of age. After they come forward, we will give them all the necessary training and pay special attention to their diet. The government will develop the sport of every player according to his talent and make him more skilled.
The Union Sports Minister said that only a healthy citizen can build a healthy society and only a healthy society can build a prosperous nation. Only those who play move forward with concentration. We are also trying to connect the traditional sports of the country with the flow of development. Khelo-Badho Abhiyan is an innovative initiative in this direction. Our department is continuously working for the development of sports. We have to build a developed India and for this we have to keep ourselves fit and energetic.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Sports Minister Dr. Mandaviya launched the Khelo-Badho Abhiyan in the state by pressing the remote button. On this occasion, a short film based on sports was also screened, which highlighted the formation of Fit India Club under the Fit India Movement, its objectives and future action plan. On this occasion, sports kits were also distributed by the Sports Department to 435 players of the state to participate in the National Games to be held in Uttarakhand.
State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang, while outlining the objectives of Fit India Club, said that the state is moving towards giving a new direction to sports. The first Fit India Club of the state has been inaugurated today. It is being built in four phases. The first phase has been inaugurated today. Along with this, the Bhoomi Pujan of the second phase has also been done today. We will provide all the necessary help and encouragement for the sports talents of the state and the establishment of Fit India Club in four phases. By building all the necessary sports infrastructure, we will prepare the players of the state to the capacity to participate in national and international level sports competitions.
Inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of seven departmental sports infrastructure
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Dr. Mandaviya virtually inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of sports structures in various districts of the state. The objective of these projects is to encourage sports activities in the state and provide a suitable platform to sports talents to showcase their art and skills. Indoor halls were inaugurated in Nagaud of Satna district, Budhni of Sehore district, Timarni of Harda district, Narayangarh of Mandsaur district and outdoor stadium in Jobat of Alirajpur district and Bhoomi Pujan of hostel building was performed in Shivpuri.
Various sports events and fitness campaigns have also been planned in the coming months under the Fit India Club. At the beginning of the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the Fit India Club by cutting the ribbon. After this, he visited the entire campus and discussed with the players and sports lovers there. The Chief Minister and the Union Minister also encouraged all the players by walking on the treadmill. Additional Chief Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare Manu Srivastava expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, public representatives, Ravindra Yati, Rahul Kothari, Additional Chief Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare Manu Srivastava, Director Sports Ravi Kumar Gupta, local public representatives and a large number of sports lovers were present.
