First anniversary celebration of the installation of Ekta Murti in Omkareshwar

Bhopal. To popularize the Vedantic teachings of Jagadguru Aadya Shankaracharya ji, who illuminated the Advaita principle of the Vedas while binding the entire India in the thread of cultural unity, and his contribution to Sanatan, Acharya Shankar Cultural Ekta Nyas of Madhya Pradesh is constructing Ekta Dham in Omkareshwar. This Ekta Dham is being developed on the Mandhata mountain situated on the banks of the Narmada river in Omkareshwar. In this, a 108 feet high statue of Acharya Shankar has been installed as the ‘Statue of Ekta’. On Saturday, the first anniversary of the installation of Ekta Murti ‘Shankaravataran’ was celebrated by Acharya Shankar Nyas with Vedic Yagya-Anushthan in Omkareshwar. On the occasion of the anniversary, first of all, the head priest of Omkareshwar temple Pandit Dankeshwar Maharaj performed Puja, Rudrabhishek and Havan in front of the statue of Adi Shankaracharya. After this, the students of Art of Living performed Guru Puja, Veda Paath and recitation of stotras composed by Acharya Shankar. After which, the saints and mahants present performed the Aarti of commentator Bhagwan Adi Shankaracharya. On this occasion, Swami Narmadananda Ji of Omkareshwar, Swami Haribrahmendarananda Tirtha Ji of Uttarkashi, Swami Pranavanand Saraswati Ji along with the students of Art of Living and Shankar lovers were present.

It is worth mentioning that when Adi Shankaracharya left Kerala for a country tour, he came to Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh at the age of 8. Where he met his guru Govindpad Ji. Along with making these memories of Acharya’s Gurubhumi unforgettable, to popularize Shankar’s thoughts, a 108 feet tall ‘Statue of Integration’ of Aadya Shankaracharya ji has been installed in the Ekatma Dham being built in Omkareshwar.

The sky of Omkareshwar reverberated with the sounds of the Veda Paath

The sky of Omkareshwar was filled with divine energy with the spiritual sounds of the Veda Paath held on the anniversary of Shankaravataran in Ekatma Dham. In the event, Akhand Parayan of Acharya Shankar’s commentary texts – Brahmasutra, Ekadasha Upanishad, and Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta were recited. The students of Art of Living recited the Kauthami branch of Samveda and the Madhyandini branch of Yajurveda. Along with this, the students also recited the stotras composed by Shankar – Ganesh Panchratnam, Narmadashtakam, Lingashtakam, Totakashtak, Guru Ashtakam etc. Every Advaita lover present in Ekatma Dham got mesmerized with the flow of Shankar stotras composed in the voice of the students.
