Farmer Sukhdev is earning profit by joining the Horticulture Department’s scheme

The central and state government’s intention is to make farming a profitable business. With this thought, farmer-friendly schemes are being run. Many farmers of the state have increased their income by joining these schemes. One such farmer is Sukhdev of Dewas.

Farmer Sukhdev’s family was associated with traditional farming and animal husbandry business for a long time. A good amount of milk was collected at his place. Sukhdev wanted to use 100% of the milk collected at his place. For this, he contacted the Horticulture Department and submitted a project of milk products. After considering the project, he was informed about the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Enterprise Upgradation Scheme by the Horticulture Department. After this, he was also sanctioned a loan.

With the loan amount received, he installed a Mawa making machine and other machines along with a freezer for storing milk. Farmer Sukhdev says that due to good demand for milk products, he has started earning other income apart from farming. Due to purity, his reputation in the area has also increased. Now he is earning about one lakh rupees per month. Sukhdev thanks both the central and state governments for this.
