Evergreen Chowk, Baijnathpara Marg which were narrow due to encroachments, commissioner took a walk with the officials in the roads

 Raipur – The main roads of the main market of the capital city Raipur had become narrow due to encroachments on the roads. The 30 to 40 feet wide roads of Shastri Bazaar, Evergreen Chowk to Baijnathpara Malviya Marg had started looking like narrow lanes of 10 feet. As per the instructions of Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur Mr. Abinash Mishra, in the presence of Zone 4 Zone Commissioner Mr. Arun Dhruv, Superintending Engineer Mr. Rajesh Rathore, Executive Engineer in charge Mr. Anshul Sharma Junior, Zone 4 Assistant Engineer Mr. Deepak Devangan, Assistant Engineer Urban Investment Mr. Ashutosh Singh and officials of the concerned Corporation Urban Investment Department, directly observed the traffic system of Shastri Market Evergreen Chowk to Baijnathpara Main Road, Malviya Marg.

During this, after seeing the encroachments on the roads, instructions were given to remove them. The Corporation Headquarters Urban Investment Flying Squad and Corporation Zone 4 Urban Investment Department conducted a campaign on the main road from Shastri Market Evergreen Chowk to Baijnathpara Chikani Mandir Malviya Road and took action to remove the encroachment done by more than 25 shopkeepers on the road boundary area and imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on 5 shops for encroaching the road by giving a stern warning for the future. Goods were seized from the road. After the main roads of the market were freed from encroachment due to the campaign, they again started appearing 30 to 40 feet wide and the citizens got immediate relief as smooth and well-organized traffic was established.
