Digital governance model to empower citizens in Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai

Chief Minister inaugurated the distribution of ownership cards in Dhamtari

A gift of development works worth Rs 268 crore

Raipur 8 January 2025:  We have adopted the model of digital governance to facilitate and empower civic facilities in Chhattisgarh. Information technology based systems are being used in all departments so that the schemes can be easily accessible to the last person of the society. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said this today at the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of development works in Dhamtari district. In the program, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 268 crore. On this occasion, beneficiary-oriented material was also distributed to the beneficiaries of various schemes.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that through the ownership card, the big problem of the villagers residing on inhabited land in rural areas is being resolved today. These people are getting permanent documents of ownership on inhabited land. Due to lack of documents, cases of disputes often remained pending in the courts for years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi understood this problem and inspired to use technology to overcome it.

Chief Minister Sai said that if India has to become a superpower, then India will have to be technically capable. In Chhattisgarh, our government has adopted digital governance at every level. We have prepared a Sugam app to make the registry easy for the people and to ensure that it is done through a transparent process. We are also working for the digitization of documents. The drone survey we conducted for the Swamitva Yojana has prepared an updated map of the inhabited land, we will get many benefits from this. Chief Minister Sai said that this will be of great help in making the development plan of the Gram Panchayat i.e. GPDP. This will help a lot in maintaining government and public property and the possibility of encroachment will end.

Chief Minister Sai said that our illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji thought for the first time that roads should reach the Kamar settlements as well, there should be clean water for them, there should be electricity, there should be schools for children. When such sensitivity is in the mind, only then a scheme like PM Janman comes into existence. Within a year, the light of development has spread in the settlements of Kamar tribe through the Prime Minister Janman Yojana. We have built 36 roads at a cost of about Rs 47 crore. He said that all the schemes like PM Awas, Saubhagya Yojana, Jaljeevan Mission, PM Janman Yojana make the life of the citizens easier and open the way for development for the coming generation.

Chief Minister Sai said that Dhamtari district has received the special blessing of Chitrotpala Mahanadi. Dhamtari district has always been a leader in the field of agriculture. Farmers are working hard and getting good crops. Apart from paddy, they are also growing pulses and oilseeds. All this requires plenty of water, for this water conservation is very important. Extensive work has been done regarding water conservation in Dhamtari district. An initiative has been taken to save every drop of water.

Chief Minister Sai said that farmers are getting full benefit from the farmer-friendly policies of the state government. Farmers are getting the best price in Chhattisgarh through paddy purchase at Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. So far, we have purchased about 106 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from more than 20 lakh farmers in the state. So far, we have paid more than Rs 23 thousand crore to the farmer brothers. He said that one lakh 7 thousand farmers of Dhamtari district have sold 4 lakh 82 thousand metric tonnes of paddy. So far, Rs 1 thousand 111 crore has been given in their accounts.

In the program, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that development has taken place in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. He said that under Modi ji’s guarantee and Vishnu’s good governance, all sections are getting equal benefits of various schemes. Sao said that development is taking place from the city to remote villages. He said that people are taking advantage of the government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Swamitva Yojana etc. Minister-in-charge Tankaram Verma congratulated the concerned beneficiaries on the distribution of rights records in the district under the ownership scheme. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the special backward tribe Kamar beneficiaries are being benefited from the public welfare schemes of the government. Apart from this, schemes are being implemented in the one year of good governance of the state government.

MLA Kurud Ajay Chandrakar, while addressing the program, said that Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is implementing schemes as per the guarantee of Modi ji. He said that there are immense possibilities of industries in Dhamtari district. In the coming days, these industries will become functional and employment will be generated from them. He said that many schemes have been implemented by the double engine government in one year of good governance.

MPs Mrs. Roopkumari Chaudhary, Bhojraj Nag also addressed the program and congratulated the state government on its one year. On this occasion, other public representatives, dignitaries, officers and employees including Nehru Nishad, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Backward Class Commission were present.
