Departmental Advisory Committee meeting of Labor Department was held under the chairmanship of Minister Patel

Bhopal: The meeting of the Departmental Labour Advisory Committee was held in the Ministry on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Panchayat, Rural Development and Labour Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel. In the meeting, the members were informed about the innovations to be done in the interest of workers. The new initiative of the Labour Department, SHREE (Shramik Health Rejuvenation Education and Enterprise) initiative aims to improve the condition of workers in Madhya Pradesh in a holistic way by using the resources of various government bodies. The aim is to rejuvenate and empower human resources by focusing on improving health, education, enterprise and workplace environment, so that sustainable socio-economic development can take place. By integrating health, education, enterprise and workplace improvement, SHREE will set an example for worker welfare and development not only in the state but across India.
The Labour Department has also proposed a Labour Star Rating Index, regarding which the Secretary Labour Department informed that this rating index is an important step towards making labour welfare standards excellent at the global level. The global market is giving great importance to ethical sourcing, fair labour practices and corporate social responsibility. Understanding the importance of labour welfare in manufacturing and service industries, rating businesses on various methodologies will help achieve consumer and operational excellence. MLA Smt. Archana Chitnis, Shri Devendra Ramnarayan Sakhware, Shri Brijendra Singh Yadav, Smt. Anubha Munjare, Shri Vishnu Khatri and Secretary of Labour Department Shri Raghuraj Rajendran, Additional Secretary Labour Shri Basant Kurre and Commissioner Smt. Rajni Singh were present in the meeting.
