Dehradun Woman Murders Husband to Be With Brother-in-Law
Dehradun : In a shocking turn of events in Dehradun, a wife and her lover conspired to murder her husband due to an illicit affair. Police have revealed the details of this incident, which occurred under suspicious circumstances in Patel Nagar area. According to police, on Monday, a death memo was received from Mahant Indresh Hospital for Pravind, a resident of Saharanpur who was currently living in Pithuwala. The deceased had marks on his neck, leading the police to suspect foul play. The body was sent for postmortem. Pravind’s brother, Sumit, filed a complaint with the police, expressing his suspicion of murder. Following this, the police initiated an investigation. During questioning, it was discovered that the deceased’s wife, Sarita, and his cousin, Anuj Kumar, were having an affair. Based on this suspicion, both were taken into custody.
The police conducted a thorough interrogation, leading the accused to confess to their crime. Anuj revealed that he was working as a contract lineman for UPCL and was currently stationed at the Transport Nagar Power House in the ISBT area. In 2017, he had moved to Dehradun to live with his cousin, Pravind. After a few years, he started an affair with Sarita. When Pravind found out, they had a fight, and Anuj left his house. Despite this, their meetings continued.
Later, Anuj rented a room near Sarita’s house. He frequently visited her, taking advantage of opportunities. They both wanted to get married, which led them to plan to eliminate Pravind. On the night of December 15th, Anuj was at the power house in Transport Nagar when Sarita called him, informing him that Pravind was heavily intoxicated. Following Sarita’s instructions, Anuj went to her house. Taking advantage of Pravind’s inebriated state, Anuj strangled him with a scarf. Pravind tried to fight back, but Sarita intervened, repeatedly hitting his head against the headboard of the bed, rendering him unconscious. Then, both the accused strangled the deceased with a scarf, killing him. After committing the crime, Anuj returned to the power house in Transport Nagar to avoid suspicion. Meanwhile, the deceased’s wife tried to portray his death as natural, claiming he was unwell and took his body to the hospital with her relatives. The police arrested both the accused and sent them to jail.
