Declaration of bag free day in Uttarakhand, this rule will be applicable in government and private schools

Now “Basta Mukt Diwas” will be celebrated on the last Saturday of every month in the schools of Uttarakhand. This rule will be applicable to both government and private schools. On this day, children will come to school without bags and instead there will be other types of activities and sports. The education department has ordered all the schools to strictly follow the bag-free day on this day. In Dehradun too, all the schools have asked the children not to come to school with bags on this Saturday. Along with this, it has been decided to do other activities in schools apart from studies, so that children can spend their time happily by participating in sports and other activities. Bag-free day will be celebrated on the last Saturday of the month in all the government and private schools of the state. Whether they are Uttarakhand Board schools or CBSE, ICSE, Sanskrit and Indian Education Council schools, this day will be bag-free in all.

Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that this arrangement will start from 26 April. He inaugurated the scheme in a workshop and launched the Bagless Day and also released the activity booklet. He said that apart from studies, children will be made experts in different activities like sports, vocational education, agriculture, painting. For this, children in all schools will get a chance to come to school without bags one day in a month. The Education Minister said that in foreign countries, children get a chance to study in a good environment, and they should also get similar facilities. Children will benefit from this scheme because on this day they will be free from the burden of books and will only participate in sports, art and other creative activities.
