Two youths killed a person in a de-addiction centre in Dehradun. Harmandeep Singh, admitted in the de-addiction centre, and his friend Gurdeep Singh together killed a person named Ajay Kumar, who was a resident of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, by hitting him with a sharp object. Police caught both the accused from the spot. During police interrogation, both the accused told that they were upset with the strict restrictions of the de-addiction centre, so they planned the murder. According to the information, this incident took place in a de-addiction centre named Karma Welfare Society located in Mandowala. Two youths killed a person in a fight between the youths admitted here. As soon as the police got the information, they immediately reached the spot and started investigation.

Police said that Harmandeep Singh was admitted to the de-addiction centre on 13 April and Gurdeep Singh on 31 March by their family members. At the same time, the deceased Ajay Kumar was admitted by his family on 8 April. Two days ago, Ajay Kumar had a dispute with the two accused over something, which was resolved by the director of the de-addiction centre and others. However, the accused said that Ajay Kumar had abused them during the dispute, which angered them and they planned to kill him. When Ajay Kumar was sleeping, the two accused went into the room, one of them pressed his mouth and the other stabbed him several times on his neck and chest with a spoon, killing him.
