Cooperative societies should have reach in the entire state: Minister Sarang
Cooperative Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has said that cooperative societies should have reach in the entire state, its widespread reach is needed. Also, it should be ensured that farmers are made aware through the societies about what kind of crop they should grow. Work can be done in the interest of farmers only through dialogue, for this the societies can play an important role. Minister Shri Sarang was addressing the 19th Annual General Meeting of Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Seed Producer and Marketing Federation Limited on Wednesday.
Minister Shri Sarang said that the government is working in the interest of farmers. The government is constantly making efforts to provide loans without any interest, supply of fertilizers and seeds, to provide water to every field and to ensure that the crop gets a fair price in the field. He said that excellent seeds are required to make the farming of the farmer excellent and hence it is necessary to ensure that proper and excellent seeds are available through societies. The Seed Federation is working for this.
Minister Shri Sarang said that without cooperation there is no salvation and without culture there is no cooperation. For this, discharge your responsibilities with full culture. He said that the government is also trying to advance through excellent and advanced technology. For this, training programs are being organized very soon. By adding new technology in it, we will take it towards excellence. Research and technology are very important in agriculture. Today, technologies are being used for advancement in agriculture, it is the responsibility of the Seed Association to take it to the society. Training programs are also being made for this. Through this, information will be received about the production of seeds of the right quality. We are also working on making the farming of farmers more excellent through the Seed Association and the Society and all difficulties will be removed through dialogue.
Minister Shri Sarang said that our aim is that farmers can get excellent seeds and excellent crops through seeds. He congratulated all the member seed producing cooperative institutions for the 77 percent contribution of the Seed Association in the institutional seed production of the state. Minister Shri Sarang said that if there is any suggestion, give it in writing. Along with this, efforts will also be made to resolve the problems. The regional association said that the inactive organization will also be activated.
In the meeting, the action plan related to seed production of the Seed Association for the coming year, the audit report of the year 2022-23 and unaudited financial statements of the year 2023-24, the actual income and expenditure of the year 2023-24 and the proposed budget for the year 2025-26 were also approved.
