Haridwar police has solved the case of firing in broad daylight in Kharkhari and arrested two accused from Punjab. The arrested miscreants Manav Hans and Gaurav Kumar both hail from Punjab and were working for the infamous Nandu gang associated with Lawrence Vishnoi. On June 2, they along with their other associates – Shammi Khan and Bobby – attacked hotel businessman Arun and fled after the incident. According to the police, this attack was planned keeping in view Arun’s antics and old cases. It was told that many criminal cases are registered against Arun and this attack was not a part of any personal enmity or gang war but a contract killing under a conspiracy, whose strings were pulled from abroad.

Nandu alias Kapil Sagwan Gang, which is associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, its London-based gangster Nandu got this attack done. Reason? Old gang war. In 2016, Manjit Mahal had killed Nandu’s brother-in-law. Since then, there has been a confrontation between the two gangs. Arun, who was currently advocating for Gaurav alias Lucky (a member of Manjit Mahal Gang), came in Nandu’s hit list. After this, Nandu gave the contract to Himanshu Sood from London and he was given weapons, car and team. The team included- Bobby, Manav Hans, Shammi Khan and Gaurav.

This is how the murder was planned, mobile app saved from tracking, from recce to firing. The planning done before the murder seems no less than a film script. The miscreants took a hotel room at the same place where Arun used to stay. Reconnaissance was done, even the photo of the hotel was sent. The conversation was done through a special mobile app ‘Jangi’ so that the call could not be traced. On the night of June 1, Manav Hans and Shammi reached Haridwar by bike, the rest entered Roorkee by car. The incident took place on June 2. First Himanshu tried to shoot, but the pistol misfired. Then Bobby shot Arun. After this, all of them fled through different routes. Three accused are still absconding, police will arrest them soon. At present, three accused—Himanshu Sood, Bobby and Shammi Khan—are still absconding. The police claim that they will also be caught soon. Giving information in the press conference, SSP Pramod Dobal said that the police is constantly taking the cases related to gang war seriously and is keeping an eye on interstate crime.
