Community based forest restoration and climate change-adaptation livelihood workshop concludes

Bhopal:  Panchayat and Rural Development and Labour Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel said that the traditional knowledge system of the people has an important role in forest conservation. Minister Shri Patel was addressing the closing ceremony of the Community Based Forest Restoration and Climate Change-Adaptation Livelihood Workshop at RCVP Naronha Administration and Management Academy, Bhopal. He said that with the cooperation of the tribal society, the work of conservation and restoration of forests can be done more effectively. Emphasis was laid on promoting community participation and the need for training and awareness for sustainable development.

In the workshop, National President of All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Shri Satyendra Singh told the participants of various sessions about forest management, impact of climate change and use of innovations at local level. Senior administrative officers and employees of the academy were present on this occasion.
