Raipur. Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur and MD of Raipur Smart City Limited Abinash Mishra, for the second time in three consecutive days, directly inspected the campaign of spraying nano scale phyconutrients being run through the agency to increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water required for the safety of fishes in the Telibandha pond Marine Drive of the capital city, in the presence of Corporation Superintendent Engineer Rajesh Sharma, Zone 3 Zone Commissioner Ms. Preeti Singh, Executive Engineer Rakesh Avadhiya, Assistant Engineer Anurag Patkar, Deputy Engineer Naresh Sahu, Zone Health Officer Umesh Namdev, subject expert agency director Alok Mahawar and officials of the Municipal Corporation and the concerned agency. While inspecting the Telibandha pond Marine Drive, the Commissioner discussed with the subject experts and officials and inquired about the effect of the special spraying campaign. The officials informed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner that after starting the spraying of nano scale phyconutrients on a large scale in the Telibandha pond as per the instructions, the life safety of about 90 percent of the fishes in the pond area has been ensured by the continuous increase in the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water. The banks of the Telibandha pond are being cleaned continuously by the team of Municipal Corporation Zone 3 Health Department.
Commissioner Shri Abinash Mishra directed the Superintending Engineer and the Director of the concerned agency to run the campaign of spraying nano scale phyconutrients in the Telibandha pond continuously and comprehensively so that the spraying can continuously increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in the pond water, which can be useful from the point of view of life safety of the fishes. The subject expert suggested to spray nano scale phyconutrients in a scientific manner in Telibandha pond Marine Drive on a continuous and extensive basis and said that it is safe and beneficial for the fishes and said that this will also help in removing the impurities of the pond water. The officials informed that about 90 percent of the fishes are safe in the pond area due to the spraying campaign. On this, Commissioner Shri Abinash Mishra has given instructions to continue the spraying campaign in a comprehensive manner and to ensure the safety of 100 percent of the fishes in the pond area with utmost priority in the interest of the society for the protection of the environment. The Commissioner has asked the Superintending Engineer to do continuous monitoring of the spraying campaign for environmental improvement so that a continuous quality campaign can be conducted with a view to the safety of the lives of the fishes.

During the inspection, the Commissioner has asked the officials to ensure on priority that 2 new fountains are installed in Telibandha pond Marine Drive and it is started soon to provide healthy entertainment to the general public.

It is noteworthy that during the inspection of Telibandha pond by Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra two days ago, Alok Mahawar, Director of Subject Specialist Agency, informed the Commissioner regarding the death of fishes in Telibandha pond that in summer season, the dirty water of the pond starts rotting rapidly. This decomposition process causes lack of oxygen in the water body. Apart from this, due to increase in temperature, the level of dissolved oxygen in water decreases. When the amount of dissolved oxygen in water decreases, the fishes die in water. He stressed the need to spray nano scale phyconutrients on a large scale immediately for the safety of fishes and described this treatment as safe and beneficial for fishes. This treatment removes the impurities of water along with increasing the amount of dissolved oxygen in water. On this, the Commissioner directed the Superintending Engineer Mr. Rajesh Sharma on the spot to get the treatment of nano scale phyconutrients done on a large scale through the agency to increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water of Telibandha pond. On the instructions of the Commissioner, the Municipal Corporation is getting the water treated on a large scale in the Telibandha pond through the agency.
