Cleanliness Adoption, Bimari Bhagao Campaign in July and August Cleanliness Public Awareness

Raipur. In accordance with the guidelines of Central Urban Development Ministry and Urban Administration and Development Department of Chhattisgarh Government, under the Swachhata Survey, Raipur Municipal Corporation will run Cleanliness Adoption, Bimari Bhagao Campaign in the capital city area in the months of July and August and various activities will be conducted to make the citizens aware about cleanliness. At the same time, from July to October, for the convenience of the residents of the slum areas of the city, the Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with private hospitals, will organize health check-up camps from time to time and provide them medical advice to stay healthy in life.
Today, as per the orders of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra and as per the instructions of Additional Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Gupta, in the third floor hall of the Corporation Headquarters Mahatma Gandhi Sadan, Corporation Health Officer Dr. Tripti Panigrahi and Assistant Engineer of Swachh Bharat Mission, Mr. Yogesh Kadu, held a meeting in the presence of all the zone health officials and informed about the instructions regarding running the Cleanliness Adoption, Disease-Free Campaign among the citizens from 1st July to 31st August in accordance with the public welfare guidelines of the Central Government and the State Government.
Cleanliness Adoption, Disease-Free Campaign was run in 70 wards of all 10 zones of Raipur Municipal Corporation for 2 months in July and August, under the Swachhata Survey, paying special attention to cleanliness, getting the drains and sewers cleaned properly and monitoring the work, not allowing water to accumulate anywhere, as well as making arrangements for quick redressal of public complaints related to cleanliness at the zone level and doing various activities to create awareness about cleanliness among the citizens. To provide pure drinking water to the citizens, to ensure the supply of pure drinking water by getting the drinking water samples tested regularly in the lab of PHE and filter plant, to create awareness among the citizens that they should take care of cleanliness and not allow water to accumulate anywhere, to empty the water of window coolers, not to keep water in pots, money plant plants, broken utensils, as well as to advise to eat fresh hot easily digestible food, instructions were given to all the zone health officers.

Health Officer Dr. Tripti Panigrahi informed that from July to October 2024, health check-up camps will be organized in the slums of the city in the wards of all the zones with the help of private hospitals and doctors, in which doctors of private hospitals will examine the health of the residents of the slums and give them medical advice to stay healthy in life, so that the general public can get useful tips to stay healthy in life during monsoon. The Health Officer directed all the zone health officers to create public awareness through cleanliness campaign in the wards for effective control of waterborne and mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, malaria, jaundice, chikungunya etc. and to conduct surprise check of cleanliness of food establishments, hotels, ice cream parlors, juice centers etc. and if inedible items are found, they should be confiscated and immediately destroyed for public health safety and to take action against the fine as per rules along with advising the concerned persons to maintain cleanliness in the shops.
