Chitrakoot will also be developed like Ayodhya: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that after a gap of 500 years, Ramlala’s Pran Pratishtha has taken place in Ayodhya. Since then, the stream of Sanatan culture is flowing in the whole country. The glory of Lord Ram is spread in every particle of Chitrakoot. Like Ayodhya, the pilgrimage site Chitrakoot will also be developed. Both the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will leave no stone unturned in the development of Chitrakoot. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the closing ceremony of the seven-day International Shri Ramleela Mahotsav based on various episodes of Shri Ram Katha organized by the Culture Department in Chitrakoot of Satna district on Saturday. On this occasion, Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Religious Affairs (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing Smt. Pratima Bagri, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Shri Lakhan Patel, MP Shri Ganesh Singh, MLA Shri Surendra Singh Gaharwar, Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Seema Yadav, Shri Abhay Mahajan were also present.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this area of Chitrakoot, which includes the incidents of Lord Shri Ram’s character, is picturesque with different forms. Lord Shri Ram was called Maryada Purushottam on the land of Chitrakoot, who presented an inspiring example of an obedient son and love of brother for brother. He said that every character and incident of Shri Ram’s life teaches and inspires us about life values. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our artists are the ones who have taken Ram’s Leela to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia as an inspiration at the international level. He said that all these artists who give presentations in the International Ramleela in Chitrakoot come from Mahakal’s city Ujjain. There is no dearth of talent in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is the government’s resolve to make Lord Shri Ram’s pilgrimage Chitrakoot the best. He said that along with the physical structure, there should also be a concept of bringing change in the society. The Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to celebrate all the festivals with pomp and show. On the day of Dussehra, a symbol of manliness and valour, weapon worship was done at all places. On the occasion of Deepawali, he himself has come to Shri Ram’s abode Chitrakoot to enjoy the Ramlila Mahotsav based on the incidents of Shri Ram. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government has decided to celebrate the festival of Govardhan Puja on the occasion of Diwali with cabinet colleagues and public representatives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that at present, compared to the country, Madhya Pradesh’s milk production capacity is 9 percent. We will take it to 20 percent in the next 2 years. To encourage animal husbandry, animal keepers will be given bonus on milk production like farmers. Cow rearing will also be encouraged and Govardhan Puja will also be performed in every house. Madhya Pradesh government will provide financial help to big cow shelters.
Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Shri Lodhi said that in Indian culture and tradition, all religious activities are performed with the wife and in the holy land of Chitrakoot, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has participated with his wife in the program of International Ramlila. This is a matter of great pride. He said that Ram is present in every particle of this country. Ram is present in the character and life values of this country. He said that the International Ramlila Festival is being staged in Chitrakoot as per the wishes of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He said that the government is working to establish Madhya Pradesh at the pinnacle of cultural and religious tradition. Work is being done to develop and flourish 23 sites by identifying the routes of Shri Ram Van Gaman Path. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav along with his wife participated in the aarti of Ramlila and took a boat ride in Maa Mandakini from Raghav Prayag Ghat to Ramghat.
A seven-day International Shri Ramlila Festival, focused on the Leela presentations of various episodes of Shri Ram Katha, was organized by the Madhya Pradesh Government Culture Department from 20 to 26 October 2024 at Shri Raghav Prayag Ghat, Nayagaon Chitrakoot. In the ceremony, artists of Leela Mandal Rangrez Kala Sansthan, Ujjain presented the episodes of Shri Ram Katha. On this occasion, a picture narration exhibition of “Shri Ram Raja Sarkar” – 36 qualities of Shri Ram – was also organized. On the last day of the ceremony, the events of Setubandh, Rameshwaram establishment, Ravana-Angad dialogue, Kumbhakaran, Meghnath and Ravana’s death, Shri Ram’s coronation were staged. Before this, Rewa’s folk singer Kalyani Mishra and fellow artists described the life and ideals of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita through Bagheli folk songs.
