Announcement of Rs 80.48 lakh for the renovation of Gondwana Samajik Bhawan, boundary wall

Raipur, 07 April 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today attended the closing ceremony of Marka Pandum (Chaitarai Mahaparva) organized by Gondwana Samaj in village Bhirawhi of Kanker. He offered Tendu, Char, Chironji, Mahua and Mango fruits by worshiping the deities Budhadev and Anga Dev of Gondwana Samaj and prayed for the prosperity of the people of the state. Chief Minister Sai, while addressing the closing ceremony of Marka Pandum organized in the Gondwana Bhavan premises of Bhirawhi, said that the Gondwana society has a rich history. There is a tradition of offering new fruits and crops to the deities in the Marka Pandum festival. He further said that we need to take our culture and tradition forward. Chief Minister Sai, while stressing on the education of the society, stressed on everyone coming forward and being aware to educate the children. The Chief Minister further said that Chhattisgarh has developed rapidly in the last 25 years. Special backward tribes have developed rapidly due to the PM Janman Yojana, while talented children are getting an opportunity to move ahead in the Prayas Residential School. Higher institutions like IIM, IIT, Triple IT have been established in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Sai said that with the support of the Central Government, the State Government is working to root out Naxalism from Bastar. He said that in the coming one year, the resolution of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to root out Naxalism will definitely be fulfilled. He informed that now the scope of Niyad Nellnar Yojana is being expanded so that more and more villagers of Naxal-affected area can get the benefit of government schemes. On this occasion, on the demand of the representatives of the Gondwana society, the Chief Minister announced various development and construction works worth Rs 80 lakh 48 thousand, which includes approval of Rs 45 lakh for the renovation of the building of Gondwana society, Rs 23 lakh 47 thousand for the construction of boundary wall and Rs 12 lakh 01 thousand for the beautification of Devgudi and various works. Addressing the closing ceremony, Kanker MLA Asharam Netam said that it is a matter of pride that the Chief Minister, who is a well-wisher of the tribal society, is leading the entire state. He further said that the tribals should not forget their rich culture, tradition and heritage because this is our root and real identity. During this, Divisional President of Bastar Gondwana Samaj Sumer Singh Nag apprised the Chief Minister about the social activities. MP from Kanker Lok Sabha constituency Bhojraj Nag, Antagarh MLA Vikram Usendi, Bhanu Pratappur MLA Smt. Savitri Mandavi, Chairman of Nagar Palika Kanker Arun Kaushik, District Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Kiran Nareti, former MP Mohan Mandavi, former MLA Shishupal Sori, Smt. Sumitra Markole, Collector Nilesh Kumar Mahadev Kshirsagar, SSP Indira Kalyan Elesela and other dignitaries were present in the program.
