Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai unveils Project Jagriti’s flex

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai unveiled Project Jagriti’s flex, an initiative by the Bhilai-based organisation ‘Swayamsiddha,’ during the ‘Jandarshan’ program at his residence on September 19. Project ‘Jagriti’ focusses on raising awareness against the use of abusive language among children and parents across 200 schools in the Durg district. The Chief Minister praised the organisation’s efforts and commended its members for this important initiative.

Dr. Sonali Chakraborty, founder and director of ‘Swayamsiddha,’ informed Chief Minister Shri Sai that Project ‘Jagriti’ aims to educate and sensitise both children and parents about the harmful effects of using foul language and obscenities. The campaign, which began on September 5 to coincide with Teachers’ Day, is addressing the growing concern over the influence of TV, mobile phones, OTT platforms, and web series on children’s language.

Through Project ‘Jagriti,’ various programs are being conducted to help improve the language of schoolchildren, encouraging them to pledge to avoid abusive words. In addition, separate awareness programs for parents are being organised to support this effort and ensure a positive impact on the children’s communication.
