
To protect against cyber security, do not share confidential information and OTP related to the bank with anyone: Chief Minister
Raipur, August 15, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today flagged off the SBI Cyber Vigilance Rath (audio-video van) from the Chief Minister’s residence complex in the capital Raipur and started the state-level cyber awareness campaign. Chief Minister Sai said on this occasion that technology has made human life easy and comfortable. Digital transactions have become fast and convenient, but with this challenges like cyber fraud have also increased. He said that with a little vigilance and caution people can avoid cyber fraud. The Chief Minister said that this awareness campaign is an effective effort to increase the understanding of cyber security among the people. Under this, people will be informed about cyber fraud through audio-video messages, street plays and puppet shows. Sai said that 29 such hotspots have been identified in the state, where cases of cyber fraud are more and the special focus of this Rath will be on those places.
Chief Minister Sai appealed to the people not to share their bank account confidential information, password or OTP with anyone and avoid clicking on unknown links. He said that cyber thugs try to cheat people by adopting new methods every day. A little carelessness can cost hard-earned money. Our effort is that more and more people should be aware and protect themselves from cyber crime. It is noteworthy that in view of the increasing incidents of fraud and unauthorized transactions through digital medium, State Bank of India (SBI), being the “banker of every Indian”, has started a state-wide cyber security awareness campaign. This campaign will run from 15 August to 30 November 2025. This chariot will go to all 33 districts of the state and will give information to the people about the methods of cyber fraud and ways to avoid it through Nacha Dal and street plays. State Bank of India officials said that complaints of online financial fraud can be lodged on helpline number 1930. On this occasion, senior officials of State Bank of India including DGM Rakesh Sinha, AGM Deepak Kumar Sinha were present.
