Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan of Mahtari Sadan
Raipur 22 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai on Wednesday attended the Prana Pratishtha program after the renovation of the ancient Jagannath temple of village Dokra of Kansabel development block. The Chief Minister worshiped Lord Jagannath and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan of Mahtari Sadan to be built at a cost of 24 lakh 74 thousand in Dokra. The Chief Minister thanked the members of the Jagannath Temple Committee of Dokra and appreciated their work. It is noteworthy that the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is being taken out in Dokra since 1942. The Rath Yatra was started by Pandit Late Sudarshan Satpathy of Dokra village and his wife Sushila Satpathy. The temple was built in 1968. Due to the dilapidated condition of the temple, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai had resolved to renovate the temple. They have also thanked the villagers for their cooperation in this work.
