Chief Minister Dr. Yadav saw the archaeological splendor of Mandu

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav after staying overnight in Mandu on Wednesday, saw the historical and archaeological splendor of Mandu on Thursday morning. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited Jahaaz Mahal and Hindola Mahal. He was informed about these historical heritages by the officials of the Archaeological Department. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav saw the history of this place through the light and sound show in Mandu last night. Union Minister of State Mrs. Savitri Thakur, MLA Dharampuri Mr. Kalusingh Thakur and other public representatives and senior officials were present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister saw the ancient tree of Khurasani Tamarind
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav saw the ancient tree of Khurasani Tamarind planted in Khurasani Kothi premises in Mandu. Collector Dhar Shri Priyank Mishra told that Khurasani trees are found in Mandu, some of which are more than 500 years old. The trunk of this tree in Khurasani Kothi premises is 10.85 meters in diameter. Khurasani Tamarind is a dense shady tree. This tree can store 1.25 lakh liters of water inside it. It is noteworthy that these trees were planted in the 14th century. Many trees here are five-six hundred years old. Tourists buy Mandu Tamarind as a memory of visiting Mandu. Many tribal families are earning income by selling it. Basically, this tree is found in Africa, Arabia and Madagascar. These trees are very huge, its age is thousands of years. In Marathi speaking areas, it is called Gorakhchinch (Chinch means Tamarind) and its sacred connection is linked with Saint Gorakhnath.
Mother Narmada was worshipped in Dharampuri
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, along with public representatives, visited Narmada in Dharampuri and worshipped it. Dharampuri is a town situated on the banks of Narmada river. An island named Bent is situated between the two streams of Narmada river, where an ancient temple of Shri Bilvamriteshwar Mahadev is situated. The Chief Minister anointed Lord Shiva here. He worshipped the statue of Maharishi Dadhich near the temple. According to mythological belief, this is also the Samadhi and Tapasya Sthal of Dadhich Rishi. Indra himself had come to this place and had asked for the bones of Dadhichi Rishi to kill the demon. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the officials to ensure all kinds of protection of Shri Bilvamriteshwar Mahadev Temple Bent.
