Chief Minister Dr. Yadav garlanded the statue of Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Tuesday garlanded the statue of revolutionary and freedom fighter Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani located in Sindhi Colony of Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said on the occasion that today is the Balidan Diwas of Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani. He sacrificed his life for freedom at the age of just 19 years.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that due to the tireless efforts of Hemu Kalani and other revolutionaries, the period of slavery of about a thousand years ended. In every century, brave martyrs who fought against foreign invaders were born in the lap of Mother India and protected Indian culture and proved the saying ‘Janani Janmabhoomishcha Swargadapi Gariyasi’. British invaders looted wealth from India. Our immortal martyrs sacrificed everything and drove the British out of the country and stopped this loot.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that from Prithviraj Chauhan (1192) to 1947, the history of our country has been continuously adorned with brave martyrs and warriors. Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Gond Empire, Bajirao Peshwa, Scindia Empire, Holkar Empire and other empires fought continuously against foreign invaders. Mughals and other foreign invaders continuously attacked our temples and culture. We responded to these incidents in a timely manner with our strength and restored Sanatan culture and Shri Chintaman Ganesh, Bada Ganpati Maharaj, Shri Kalbhairav, Shri Mangalnath Maharaj and Shri Siddhnath Maharaj temples.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in order to ensure that the faith of devotees is not hurt, complete prohibition of liquor will soon be implemented in Ujjain and other religious cities of the state. The Chief Minister said that our entire focus is on promoting religious, natural and cultural tourism in the state. This will provide employment opportunities to the people of the state and the state will develop in all aspects.

Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani: Brave son of Mother India

Hemu Kalani was a revolutionary who sacrificed everything for India’s independence. Born in Sukkur, Sindh, Hemu Kalani was imbued with the spirit of patriotism at a very young age and raised his voice against the British rule. From childhood, he urged people to boycott foreign goods and adopt indigenous goods. He played an active role in the Quit India Movement in the year 1942. Hemu Kalani and his companions did many daring acts against the British army. They planned to derail a train loaded with weapons. For this, the British government arrested Hemu Kalani and sentenced him to death.

During this time, MLA Mr Anil Jain Kaluheda, Mayor Mr Mukesh Tatwal, Chairperson Mrs Kalawati Yadav along with public representatives and citizens were present.
