Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the 18th All India Police Shooting (Sports) Championship-2024 in Indore

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is emerging rapidly in the field of sports. In future, our state will become the capital of sports. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced to start a program to discover shooters in Indore. He said that shooters will be discovered in coordination with the administration and BSF. They will also be given training at Revati Range. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the BSF team for organizing the program. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 18th All India Police Shooting (Sports) Championship-2024 at Revati Range in Indore today. The competition is being organized by Central Armament and War Skills School (CSWT) Sisubal, Indore, which will run from 24 to 29 March 2025. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released a souvenir on this occasion.
The opening ceremony witnessed smart and neat march past by Central Police Organisations and various State Police teams on rhythmic marching tunes played by BSF and Police Brass Bands, Weapon Drill/Aereotype Display by BSF Boldes Team and spectacular display of prowess of dogs especially Indian breeds while performing security duties by the dogs of NTCD (National Dog Training Centre), Tekanpur. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav took the salute of the parade and also released balloons and pigeons in the open sky. Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, heads of civil administration, police, apex industrial organization, force personnel, families and eminent citizens were present in large numbers.
Personnel from Central Armed Police Forces, State and Union Territory Police Forces from across the country are participating in this annual championship sports competition held at Revati Range. It could not be held in the last 5 years and was last held in Pune, Maharashtra in 2019. It is being organized at Revati Range, Indore from 24 to 29 March 2025. During this six-day competition, teams of police organizations and state police from across the country, including 600 male and female shooters and officers from across the country, will participate. Through this competition, shooters / teams representing various police organizations will showcase their shooting skills in a cordial manner with high sportsmanship. 17 events are being organized in this competition of Sports Weapons at Revati Range under the supervision of All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB). Under the supervision of various officials of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), players will compete for a total of 204 medals, which include 68 gold, 68 silver and 68 bronze.
Central Police Organisations and State Police across the country have been in the limelight and prominence in the sports arena of the country since their inception due to their splendid record. Many eminent sports personnel of CAPFs and Police Forces have represented our country in various sports and made us proud. The sports culture prevalent in the force enhances and inspires positive spirit not only in the sportspersons but in every force personnel. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also visited the exhibition of photographs of old and modern weapons here. BSF training activities have also been displayed in it.
