Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved funds to help protect against the cold wave in the state. Following the guidelines from both the central and state governments, he has sanctioned a total of ₹1.35 crore for this financial year, 2024-25. This amount will be distributed among 12 districts, with each receiving ₹10 lakh, while Pauri Garhwal will receive ₹15 lakh. Additionally, the Chief Minister has also approved the renaming of the Government Industrial Training Institute in Pithoragarh to honor Shaheed Nayak Soldier Khushal Singh Adhikari, who was awarded the Army Medal.
