Raipur, 7 August 2025: Under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana (PM-JANMAN), the Government of India has approved a total of 100 bridges of 6,569.56 meters length at an estimated cost of Rs 375.71 crore to Chhattisgarh. This approval has been given under 2025–26 Batch-II. With this latest approval, a total of 715 roads (2,449.108 km) and 100 bridges have been approved to the state under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana so far. On this approval, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He said that the visionary initiative taken by the Central Government to empower Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) through Jan-Man Yojana is important for a tribal dominated state like Chhattisgarh. We see this approval not only as approval of bridges and roads but as a new path of development, trust and inclusion.

Chief Minister Sai said that the State Government will complete all these approved works on fast track mode, with full quality and transparency in accordance with the spirit of the Central Government, so that the PVTG population can get its direct benefit soon. The construction of these roads and bridges will not only make life easier in these inaccessible areas, but will also ensure connectivity with health, education, market and governance. The Chief Minister said that this initiative is an important link in the resolution of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s ‘Developed India @ 2047’, which ensures that no citizen, no matter how remote or deprived area of the country he is in, is deprived of the mainstream of development. The Chief Minister has directed the concerned departments to start the construction work of the approved bridges and roads on priority basis and ensure regular monitoring of all works, local public hearing, and timely progress reporting. Chief Minister Sai said that with the support of the Central Government, historical changes will be seen in the lives of PVTG communities of Chhattisgarh in the coming time.
