In this great festival of Sanatan Dharma, the setting sun is also worshipped with full rituals. Subhash Jha, founder-general secretary of Purva Sanskritik Manch, said that there is a ritual of doing Kharna after sunset on the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month.
Special arrangements have been made in Dehradun for Chhath Mahaparva from security to every aspect. Hundreds of workers are deployed on all the ghats for Chhath Puja. Along with this, a team of women and doctors has also been deployed.
A crowd of people from Purvanchal community gathered at Triveni Ghat on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparva in Rishikesh. Thousands of devotees reached here and worshipped the Sun God.
