CG NEWS: Monitoring of hospitals contracted under Ayushman Bharat scheme: Health Minister
Raipur. Health and Family Welfare Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal took a review meeting of the Health Department at Mahanadi Bhawan Ministry. In the meeting, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal took information about Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana from the officials. He has instructed the officials to continuously monitor the hospitals contracted under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state. For which recruitment of vacant administrative and technical posts at the level of State Nodal Agency should be done soon.
Health Minister Shri Jaiswal said in the meeting that the hospitals which receive complaints regarding charging extra amount from patients contrary to the plan or other irregularities, should be investigated as per the rules and strict action should be taken. He has directed that the patients taking treatment under the scheme should not face any kind of problem.
Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Ms. Renu Pillai, Commissioner cum Director Health Services Mr. Rituraj Raghuvanshi, MD NHM Dr. Jagdish Sonkar, MD CGMSC Ms. Padmini Bhoi Sahu and other officials of the department were present in the meeting.
State government released budget
The third installment of Rs 247.50 crore has been released by the state government for payment of claims of private and government hospitals for providing continuous health facilities under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. The Finance Department has issued it.
