Raipur. Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal conducted a surprise inspection of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital affiliated to Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur. He inspected the medicine ward and intensive care unit of Ambedkar Hospital and took stock of the treatment arrangements. Shri Jaiswal talked to the families of the patients admitted and being treated in the medicine ward and discussed about the treatment arrangements. During the discussion with the Health Minister, the family members of the patient admitted in the medicine ward said that he is being treated well in the hospital. After this, the Health Minister inspected the intensive care unit of Ambedkar Hospital, took information about the treatment of serious patients admitted there and instructed the doctors on duty to make every possible effort to provide the best treatment to them. The family of the patient, who was admitted in the Critical Care Unit since December 28 and was the victim of a serious accident, informed the Health Minister that the condition of the patient has improved a lot since he came here, due to which they are satisfied with the treatment system of the hospital. Along with this, while inspecting the dialysis unit, the Health Minister said that the number of dialysis machines will be increased if necessary.

After inspecting the wards, taking a meeting with senior medical officers and department heads, the Medical Education Minister said that this is the second inspection of Ambedkar Hospital after becoming the minister of this department. After the first surprise inspection, there have been many changes in the system which is satisfactory. Efforts will continue towards the improvement of the largest hospital of the state. He met Medical College Dean Dr. Trupti Nagaria and Ambedkar Hospital Superintendent Dr. S. B. S. While giving instructions to Netam, he said that before the arrival of summer, adequate number of water coolers, fans and coolers should be arranged in the wards and OPDs so that the patients do not face any problem. He gave instructions to make the lift system in the hospital even better and easier.

Shri Jaiswal said in the meeting that in view of the increasing number of patients coming to the hospital for treatment, demand letters regarding necessary medical equipment, upgradation of OT complex and radiology testing machine should be sent again to the hospital and medical college level so that In future, patients will not have to wait for all tests related to operations, pathology, biochemistry and microbiology and radiology tests. He directed to install adequate number of CCTV cameras for the security of the hospital.

During the inspection and meeting of the hospital by the Medical Education Minister, Head of Department of Ophthalmology Dr. Nidhi Pandey, Head of Department of Surgery Dr. Manju Singh, Head of Department of Orthopedics Dr. Vinit Jain, Head of Department of Anesthesia Dr. Pratibha Jain Shah, Head of Department of Biochemistry Dr. P.K. . Khodiyar, blood bank in-charge Dr. V. Kapse, Dr. Yogendra Malhotra of the medicine department, Dr. Santosh Sonkar of the surgery department and administrative officer Ranjana Dhruv were present.
