Announcement of construction of bridge on Belat Nala, 36 villages will get transportation facility
Raipur, 05 January 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a big initiative to bring the light of development in the lives of the people of special backward tribes through PM Janman Yojana. Through PM Janman Yojana, people of special backward tribes are joining the mainstream. Gariaband is a district rich in vast forest area and natural beauty. A large number of special backward tribes reside here, for whose development the government is committed. Our government is fulfilling every promise of Modi’s guarantee. Chief Minister Sai said this while addressing the public meeting organized at the Police Parade Ground in Gariaband district today.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 193 works worth Rs. 338 crores. These include inauguration of 44 works worth Rs. 119 crores and Bhoomi Pujan of 149 works worth Rs. 219 crores. On this occasion, he announced the construction of a bridge over Belat Nala for the convenience of the people of 36 villages of Devbhog-Jhakharpara, a remote forest area of the district. In the program, he handed over various materials including agricultural pumps, fish nets worth Rs. 1 crore 27 lakhs to 99 beneficiaries under various beneficiary-oriented schemes and appointment letters to Anganwadi workers and eligible people in cases of compassionate appointment.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Sai said that under the PM Janman Yojana, more than 2 thousand 528 houses have been approved for the people of our Kamar tribe in Gariaband. In Gariaband district itself, 49 roads are being constructed through this scheme at a cost of Rs. 58 crores. With the completion of roads, the settlements of Kamar tribe will now be connected to the mainstream, children of Kamar tribe will now be able to easily receive higher education. Ambulances will be able to reach Kamar settlements easily when needed.
Chief Minister Sai said that when we started organizing Kumbh Mela in Rajim, saints from all over the country gathered in this city of Triveni Sangam. The glory of Rajim increased further. Unfortunately, the previous government reduced its dignity. Our government has started it again in the same grand form. Rajim Kumbh will be organized again next month. This time also we will organize this beautiful ceremony with full grandeur. Saint-congregation will take place in Rajim and we all will get the benefit of this satsang.
Chief Minister Sai said that the survey work of Sikasar Kodar Link Project is going on rapidly. Thousands of farmers of Gariaband district will be benefited on completion of 112 km underground canal lining work. Dialysis centers have been started in the district headquarters and Devbhog for dialysis facility for kidney patients of Supebeda. The Health Department has been directed to conduct research for a permanent solution to these problems.
Chief Minister Sai, while praising the innovative work of the district administration, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started a campaign to plant a tree in the name of mother. In this, the mothers and sisters of Gariaband registered their name in the Limca Book of World Records by planting more than 87 thousand saplings in a single day. Many congratulations to all the mothers and sisters for this. He said that Gaurav Gariaband campaign is being run here for good results in the 10th and 12th board examinations. Students are also being taught through digital class rooms and studios, this is a good initiative.
The program was also addressed by the Minister in charge of the district and Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, MP of Lok Sabha constituency Mahasamund Smt. Roopkumari Chaudhary, MLA of Rajim area Rohit Sahu. Public representatives and a large number of villagers were present on this occasion.
