Bhimtal : A tragic accident occurred in Bhimtal, located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. A roadways bus fell into a deep gorge in the Saldi area of Bhimtal. So far, the deaths of four people, including a child, have been confirmed. The bus, which was traveling from Pithoragarh to Haldwani, had a total of 27 passengers on board. Reports indicate that the bus plunged into a gorge about 1,500 feet deep near Aamdali on the Bhimtal-Rani Bagh motor road. Rescue operations are underway, with the injured being taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Bhimtal, while those in more serious condition are being transported to Haldwani. Rescue efforts are still ongoing, with police and local residents assisting in bringing the injured up from the gorge using ropes and by carrying them on their shoulders.
