Big decision in ‘CM Care’ scheme, heart and cancer units will be started in all medical colleges

Bhopal: In view of the increasing cases of cancer and heart diseases in Madhya Pradesh, now departments of cancer and heart disease (cardiology) will be opened in all government medical colleges. These departments will have good facilities for the treatment of patients. Radiotherapy machines will be installed for the treatment of cancer and there will be separate theaters for operations. Similarly, facilities like angiography, angioplasty, heart surgery and valve replacement will also be available for the treatment of heart diseases. All this will be done under the ‘CM Care’ scheme. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has asked the officers of the Health and Medical Education Department to make a proposal in this regard. Officials of the Medical Education Directorate say that big facilities can also be started in some colleges through Public Private Partnership (PPP). Apart from this, MRI and PET scan machines will also be installed for investigation. Treatment and facilities will both be better Some colleges already have these departments, but not all the facilities. Now after coming under CM Care, the quality of treatment of these diseases will be better. According to the officials, the government can start these facilities in the colleges where the number of patients is high, and where the number of patients is less, these can be started through the PPP model.
At present, angioplasty facility is available only in Bhopal and Rewa Hospitals have been built in Jabalpur and Gwalior with the help of the central government for the treatment of cancer, but there are neither enough doctors nor complete testing facilities there. The situation is such that even now the patients of the state have to go to cities like Mumbai and Nagpur for treatment. The facility of angiography to detect blockage in the veins of the heart and angioplasty to remove it is available only in the medical colleges of Bhopal and Rewa. This is why there was a need The government had adopted different methods in different medical colleges for the treatment of cancer. An attempt was made to install a linear accelerator for treatment through the PPP model, but investors did not come forward. Similarly, it is also becoming difficult to find doctors in the cancer institutes of Jabalpur and Gwalior. Investors are not being found through PPP even for setting up MRI and CT scan machines in small districts. Due to this, the government is now preparing to start these two departments on its own in most of the medical colleges.
