Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are proving to be a boon in the field of health in Chhattisgarh
Raipur. The state government is very sensitive towards the expansion of health facilities in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has set a target of doubling the health budget for the expansion of health facilities in the state.
State Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal is working to promote health services vigilantly. While hospitals like DKS and Mekahara are being equipped with state-of-the-art technologies at the state level, the work of super specialty hospitals is going on continuously at the division level. Similarly, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs at the district and block level are taking special care of the health of the people of the state.
Currently a total of 400 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are operating in Chhattisgarh. These Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are proving to be very helpful in providing general information about the basic principles of Ayurveda and information about home remedies and medicines for diseases. Under this, a total of 12 services are being implemented through the AYUSH system, which is continuously benefiting the patients. In Ayushman Arogya Mandir, through yoga instructors, the general public is also being motivated and trained for daily yoga practice so that the patients remain healthy both physically and mentally.
In Ayushman Arogya Mandir, patients are being continuously treated and taken care of by the Community Health Officer (CHO). People are also getting continuous benefits from this initiative of the state government. In Ayushman Arogya Mandir, 1 crore 38 lakh OPD patients and 3 lakh NCD patients are being treated annually, which tells its own success story.
The main 12 health services provided in Ayushman Arogya Mandir include care during pregnancy and delivery, newborn and infant health care services, child and adolescent health care services, family planning contraceptive services and other reproductive health care services, management of communicable diseases including national health programs, management of common communicable diseases and outpatient care for acute common diseases and minor diseases. Similarly, services such as screening, prevention, control and management of non-communicable diseases, care of common eye and ENT problems, basic oral health care, geriatric and palliative health care services, emergency medical services and screening and basic management of mental health disorders are also included.
