As per Modi’s guarantee given to farmers, paddy is being purchased at the rate of 21 quintals per acre: Chief Minister Sai
Raipur 23 November 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that as per Modi’s guarantee given by us during the assembly elections, this year also paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of 21 quintals per acre. Farmers should not have any confusion regarding this matter. He said that strict action will be taken against those who spread confusion in this regard.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that paddy procurement is the top priority of the government. The state government is purchasing paddy from the registered farmers of the state at the support price with full commitment. Keeping in mind the interest of the farmers, the facility of withdrawing an amount ranging from Rs 2000 to Rs 10 thousand from the micro ATMs of the procurement centers has also been given. This will facilitate the farmers in paying the fare and porter wages of tractors, matadors etc. hired for transporting paddy.
It is noteworthy that under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, continuous paddy procurement is going on in Chhattisgarh. The paddy procurement campaign started on 14 November will continue till 31 January 2025. 27.68 lakh farmers have registered for the Kharif year. This includes 1.45 lakh new farmers. This year, 160 lakh metric paddy procurement is estimated through 2739 procurement centers.
