Approval of construction of various works in Government Homeopathic Medical College

bhopal: The general council meeting of the Government Homeopathic Medical College was held in the conference hall of the Ministry on Monday under the chairmanship of Higher Education, Technical Education and AYUSH Minister Inder Singh Parmar. Ayush Minister Parmar reviewed the activities of the college and gave necessary guidelines after detailed discussion on various points related to the interests of the students.  Parmar gave guidelines to work for the progressive excellence of the institute by implementing necessary measures for the overall development of the college students, better study-teaching, improvement in educational and academic quality.

Minister Parmar held extensive discussions on various points including opening of pharmacy, construction of additional women’s hostel building and starting of postgraduate courses in the college. Parmar directed to ensure implementation of the time scale-pay scale related process of the lecturers and officers posted in the college and thereafter the process of higher post charge within the stipulated time period. He also directed to complete the process of appointment of newly selected lecturers in the college soon. Minister Parmar instructed to start a pharmacy in the college soon with a comprehensive action plan and to ensure availability of necessary equipment, tools and machinery etc. as per rules. Parmar instructed to start postgraduate M.D. Homeopathy course in two subjects delegated by National Homeopathy Commission, New Delhi, namely Community Medicine and Dermatology and to ensure availability of necessary resources as per norms for this.

Minister Parmar approved the construction of an additional 150-bed hostel building along with the existing 200-bed girls hostel in view of the safety of the girl students. He also asked for the construction of a boundary wall around the college building. He also approved the purchase of a college bus for the easy transportation of the college students.

Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai spoke about getting one floor constructed above the Homeopathic Wellness Center, installing high mast lights in the premises and resolving the sewage problem. On this occasion, Principal Secretary AYUSH D.P. Ahuja, Commissioner AYUSH Smt. Uma R. Maheshwari, representative of National Homeopathy Commission New Delhi and Principal of the Institute Dr. S.K. Mishra along with other members of the General Council and departmental officers were present.
