Ahilya Vahini Women Bike Rally is a symbol of women empowerment: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal:  Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Ahilya Vahini Women Bike Rally being organised on the auspicious occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar is a symbol of women empowerment. This rally is also an expression of the dignity of women and the strong image of women present in the rich Indian culture. Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar has been a symbol of good governance in every era. When foreign invaders were ruling India from Delhi, Lokmata presented a wonderful example of women empowerment. Rani Durgavati, Veerangna Laxmibai and Rani Avanti Bai also elevated women’s dignity. Rani Ahilyabai was an ideal daughter-in-law, ideal mother, ideal wife and a great ruler. Converting her personal sorrows into strength, she did many works for women empowerment, women education, renovation of religious places and public welfare. Mother Ahilya showed through her administrative efficiency and social dedication that a strong nation can be built only with willpower and spirit of service. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the program on the occasion of the launch of Ahilya Vahini Women Bike Rally at the Shaurya Smarak under the Jan Kalyani festival being celebrated in the state to commemorate the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav flagged off the Ahilya Vahini Women Bike Rally. He also flagged off the bus of women participants under the Maa Tujhe Pranam Yojana. Women of Gwalior Chambal division will visit historical, cultural and major tourist places of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was given a grand welcome with the tune of police band on reaching the venue. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was saluted by women police officers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid floral tribute to the statue of Bharat Mata and the picture of Lokmata Ahilyabai located at Shaurya Smarak. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honored women bikers and also presented a helmet to a female two-wheeler driver as a symbol of road safety. During the program, Madhya Pradesh Police Orchestra gave a captivating performance of patriotic songs.

On this occasion, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mr. Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Mrs. Krishna Gaur, MP Mr. V.D. Sharma, Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai, MLA Mr. Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Additional Chief Secretary Home Mr. J.N. Kansotia, DGP Mr. Kailash Makwana, Special Director General of Police Mrs. Pragya Richa Shrivastava along with senior public representatives, officers, women police personnel, school girls and a large number of common people were present.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is visiting Bhopal on 31st May to attend the Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan organized on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai. The state government has resolved to develop through heritage. Prime Minister Mr. Modi is committed to women empowerment. The state government is also conducting activities in this direction following the historical tradition. We have examples before us like construction of religious places by Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai, empowerment of women in agriculture and handloom industries and establishment of Bhil platoon in tribal areas. The increasing presence of sisters in the state police will increase the capacity, efficiency and acceptance of the police in the society.

Khajuraho MP Shri VD Sharma said that after the success of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is coming to the Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan organized on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. All mothers and sisters are being invited to this program.

Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana said that the life story of Devi Ahilyabai is a source of inspiration for women power. Any difficulty in life can be overcome with one’s own self-confidence and strong willpower, the life of Devi Ahilyabai is an excellent example of this. Devi Ahilyabai laid the foundation of social justice and women empowerment even in adverse circumstances. He said that special programs are being organized this week in all the districts of the state. The police department is constantly making efforts for women empowerment, in which many schemes including self-defense training are being run. Director General of Police Shri Makwana also appealed to the girl students to stay away from the confusion of social media and take necessary training for self-defense.

500 boys and girls of Srujan program participated in the state-level launch of Ahilya Vahini Bike Rally. Srujan program run by Madhya Pradesh Police in the direction of empowerment, self-defense and child protection in the state has set a new example. Under community policing, Srujan camps are being organized for teenagers living in slums of rural and urban areas, in which they are being given information on important topics like good touch-bad touch, prevention of domestic and sexual violence against women, child rights, self-defense, nutrition, health and cyber security. Srujan program is not only making children aware of self-defense and rights, but is also giving a new direction to their confidence and future. Bhopal’s Aarambh, Muskaan, Uday, Meet etc. organizations participated in the program.
