Agricultural land of Barwani district will be irrigated with the water of Maa Narmada: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that it is our resolve to provide water to every farm and employment to every hand. Just as iron turns into gold with the touch of Paras, similarly if the earth gets water, it spits out gold. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we will fulfill this resolve through various irrigation projects in the state. We will deliver water to every village and every farm. If this water had reached the farms 60-70 years ago, the condition of the country would have changed today. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Maa Narmada is the life-giver of Madhya Pradesh and the people of Nimar have got the lap of Maa Narmada. Micro irrigation is already being done in Barwani district through the canals of Indira Sagar Project and Lower Goi Project of Narmada Valley. Now, through Sendhwa and Niwali Micro Lift Irrigation Project, farmers in remote areas of the district will be able to get sufficient amount of Maa Narmada water for irrigation of their farms.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the program organized at Sendhwa Krishi Upaj Mandi premises of Barwani district on Saturday after performing Bhoomi Pujan of Sendhwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project costing Rs. 1402.74 crore and Niwali Micro Lift Irrigation Project to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1088.24 crore. Naming both the projects, the Chief Minister said that Sendhwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project will be named after Nimar’s Gandhi Shri Ramchandra Vitthal and Niwali Micro Lift Irrigation Project will be named after Tantya Mama.

Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare Shri Nagarsingh Chauhan, Chairman of National Scheduled Tribe Commission Shri Antarsingh Arya, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sumersingh Solanki, Lok Sabha MP Shri Gajendrasingh Patel, former Minister Shri Premsingh Patel along with public representatives, officers and a large number of villagers were present in the programme.

Forest villages will be converted into revenue villages

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that tribal heroes like Tantya Mama, Bhima Nayak fought against the British for the pride of the country. The British trembled at their name. The train used to move ahead after paying obeisance to them. We remember their sacrifice and salute them. Our government established a university in the name of Tantya Mama in Khargone within a short span of 3 months of assuming office. Tantya Mama Yojana has also been started for the welfare of tribal brothers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced to convert forest villages into revenue villages for the overall development of the tribal area. He also announced to start an electricity sub-station in Niwali and construction of various new roads.

Every eligible person will get a permanent house

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this is the era of change. We will bring change in the life of every person, public welfare is our aim. Chief Minister Jankalyan Abhiyan is being run in the state, in which camps are being organized in every Panchayat, every ward till 26 January and the public is being given the benefits of various government schemes. Our government is working for the welfare of every section. Welfare of the poor, women, youth and farmers is our priority. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is also committed to provide a permanent house to every person. A re-survey of the people who have been left out will be conducted.

Yuva Shakti Mission will start on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a large number of employment opportunities are being created in the state. Migration will also stop. A large number of recruitments will be done in government and private sectors. We are starting Yuva Shakti Mission in the state from Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, Youth Day. Under this, efforts will be made for the welfare of the youth, especially to provide them employment. Tomorrow, on Sunday, the amount of Ladli sisters will be transferred to their accounts.

Interaction with beneficiaries and intellectuals

During the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes. He interacted with the beneficiaries and learned about the benefits of the schemes and the changes brought in their lives by them. During this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with intellectuals working in various fields and inquired about the social service work being done by them. The Chief Minister also inaugurated 19 development works worth Rs 58.463 crore in the program.

Sendhwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project

Sendhwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project will provide irrigation facility in 98 villages of the district in an area of ​​about 44148.50 hectares. About 53 thousand farmers will be benefited from the project. Water from the Narmada river near village Khedi of Barwani tehsil will be lifted to a height of 501 meters through a pipe line of 2.70 meters diameter. Farmers will be able to take advantage of irrigation through sprinkler/drip with pressurized water and will get the benefit of more irrigation with less water. With this method, farmers will not need to level the land for irrigation. The total length of the main pipe line of the project is 56.394 kilometers. Villages benefited from the project: Farmers of 67 villages of Sendhwa tehsil, 24 villages of Rajpur tehsil, 06 villages of Niwali tehsil, 01 village of Barwani tehsil will be benefited from Sendhwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project. The cost of the project is Rs 1402.74 crore.

Niwali Lift Micro Irrigation Project

Niwali Micro Lift Irrigation Project will provide irrigation facility in about 33 thousand hectares of area in 87 villages of the district. Under the project, water from Narmada river near village Borkhedi of Tehsil Pati will be lifted to a height of 465 meters through a pipe line of 2.60 meters diameter. Farmers will be able to take advantage of irrigation through sprinkler/drip with pressurized water and will get the benefit of more irrigation with less water. With this method, farmers will not need to level the land for irrigation. The total length of the main pipe line in the project is 40.183 kilometers. Farmers of 29 villages of Tehsil Pati, 26 villages of Barwani and 32 villages of Niwali will be benefited by the project. The cost of the project is Rs 1088.24 crore.
