Additional expenditure burden due to difficult geographical conditions: Sai

In his address at the meeting of the Central Finance Commission, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that due to the difficult geographical conditions of the state, there is an additional expenditure burden in infrastructure. Rapid development work is being done in the Maoist-affected areas. Under the Niyad Nellnar Scheme, work is being done to ensure basic facilities like education, health, roads, electricity, water in these areas. Effective work is being done in the state to curb Maoism. If the state gets more financial assistance from the Central Finance Commission, then certainly public welfare works can be increased on a large scale. We are working to prepare a developed Chhattisgarh along with developed India.

Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly: Dr. Panagariya

In his address at the meeting of the Central Finance Commission, the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Arvind Panagariya, praised the pace of economic progress of Chhattisgarh and said that the state is progressing rapidly.

Nava Raipur has been settled in a very beautiful and systematic manner. Chhattisgarh is a very beautiful state.

To fulfill the resolve of making a developed India and a developed Chhattisgarh, emphasis will have to be laid on manufacturing units.

I am very happy to reach Chhattisgarh. I am pleased with the warm welcome. I was very happy to meet Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
