CG NEWS: On the initiative of the Finance Minister, Rs 10.61 crore approved for the development of Raigarh Corporation.

Raipur. With the initiative of Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, Raigarh Nagar has got approval for works worth Rs 10.61 crore related to sanitation and solid waste management and drinking water supply. This includes works like renovation of MLD for water supply in the city, waste management and plastic recycling along with arrangement of vehicles and machinery for garbage collection and transportation.

It is noteworthy that Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary, taking a special initiative, had sent a proposal for approval of works worth Rs 10.61 crore of Raigarh Municipal Corporation under the 15th Finance Commission under tied and untied item. On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration Minister Arun Sai from the government level, Municipal Corporation Raigarh received approval from the 15th Finance Commission for various development works.

In view of the water problem of the city, mainly in view of the water problem of the city, Rs 1.89 crore from TIDE head for renovation of 17 MLD water filter plant under water supply head, Rs 2.59 crore for trommel, baling, plastic recycling system for garbage management under solid waste management. Approval for purchase of vehicles and machinery worth Rs 3.80 crore for garbage collection and transportation work is included. Along with this, under the untied item of the 15th Finance Commission, 21 works of road and drain construction in various places of the city, costing Rs 2.33 crore, have also been approved.
