Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that air services are continuously expanding under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Gwalior will play an important role in building trade relations with Gujarat through Ahmedabad-Gwalior air service. With the cooperation of Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, we are trying to provide airport facilities in Ujjain, the city of Baba Mahakal. Under his leadership the country has gained new momentum in the field of aviation. Madhya Pradesh is also getting new flights. After Bangalore, air facility for Ahmedabad will prove to be a milestone in increasing the tourism and culture of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated virtually from Morena in the inauguration program of Gwalior-Ahmedabad air service of Akasa Air Flight. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated everyone for the gift given to the state. Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State for Civil Aviation General Dr. V.K. were present in the program. Singh (Retd) joined virtually from New Delhi. Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare, Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha and MLAs were present in the inauguration program held at Gwalior Airport.
Air service will be expanded with private investment to develop tourism in remote areas
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are 26 airstrips in the state, out of which 22 belong to the state government and 4 to the private sector. Our endeavor is to have airstrips in all the districts after the divisional level and we will move forward in this direction with the cooperation of the Central Government. The state government has taken steps towards developing airports in Datia and Rewa. Along with this, an airport will be developed in Ujjain with the cooperation of the Central Government, this will provide convenience to the passengers coming from India and abroad. Air service can also play an important role in providing air ambulance facilities and developing tourism in remote areas of the state. Therefore, steps will be taken in the direction of attracting private investment by connecting aviation and tourism with the cooperation of the Central Government.
Air connectivity of Gwalior has been established with seven cities of the country – Union Minister
Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that a new era has started in Madhya Pradesh with the spontaneity, hard work and determination of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav towards progress and development. In line with the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide air travel facility to the wearer of slippers, continuous work is being done to provide the benefit of air travel facility to the common man in the country. In this sequence, Gwalior is now connected by air to seven major cities of the country namely Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Ayodhya. He congratulated Akasa Air Lines for starting air services in Gwalior-Ahmedabad sector. The aircraft present at Gwalior airport was virtually flagged off.
