Durg. The district police has recovered a huge amount of cash from a private car. During checking, police recovered Rs 2 crore 64 lakh cash from the trunk of the car. During the operation, the police were shocked to see huge amount of cash inside the trunk. Police seized the vehicle and cash and informed the IT department.
Actually, this whole matter is of Bhilai Bhatti police station area. Durg SSP Ram Gopal Garg has given instructions to curb illegal business in the district. Durg Police has formed a team and is continuously monitoring the illegal business. Under this, the joint team of Police Station Bhilai Bhatti and ACCU got information about two cars parked near SBI Bank in Sector-1 Bhilai and suspicious persons traveling in them were transacting money obtained from illegal business.
The joint team of police station Bhilai Bhatti and ACCU surrounded the spot and arrested three persons traveling in Brezza vehicle number CG07 CM 4883 and Creta vehicle number CG07 BX 6696. During police interrogation, the suspects gave their names as Govind Chandrakar, father late. Pancham Lal Chandrakar, age 57 years, resident of Auri Bhilai, Vishal Kumar Sahu, father Ashok Sahu, age 28 years. Qua.No. 32A Road 7 Sector 01 Bhilai Police Station Bhilai Bhatti, Pankaj Sao Father Late. Sundar Saav, age 30 years. Both the cars were searched. During investigation, a huge amount of cash was found in the trunk of Creta vehicle number CG07 BX 6696. When inquired about the amount, the car riders did not give satisfactory answers, after which the police brought the three persons and the vehicles to Bhilai Bhatti. Cash of Rs 2,64,00,000/- (Rs 2 crore sixty-four lakh) recovered from the trunk of the car has been seized under 102 CrPC and further action is being taken. Also, Bhilai Bhatti Police has informed the Income Tax Department regarding the incident.
