Raipur. The corporation is running a cleanliness campaign in the capital city. Every day, the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur, Shri Abinash Mishra is visiting various places and inspecting the sites of the cleanliness campaign and reviewing the sites to make the cleanliness campaign better as per the public expectations and giving necessary instructions to the officers.
Today the Commissioner reached Telibandha Pond, Marine Drive, Gaurav Path and made a surprise inspection of the cleanliness system there. On the occasion of the divine consecration of Lord Shri Ram Lala in Shri Ayodhya Dham, the citizens had celebrated the festival of lights by organizing a Diya in the name of Ram at Telibandha Pond Marine Drive last evening. Today, during the inspection during the cleanliness campaign, the Commissioner expressed his displeasure when the cleanliness system in Telibandha Pond Marine Drive was not found to be as before. The Commissioner has directed that in future, all the Zone Commissioners in the capital city Raipur Municipal Corporation area should ensure that immediately after any event, cleanliness should be restored by running a campaign to clean the place. This should be taken care of in future. So that citizens do not have to experience inconvenience regarding cleanliness at that place. On the instructions of the Commissioner, the Municipal Corporation immediately deployed a sanitation team to maintain cleanliness in Telibandha Marine Drive Gaurav Path by collecting garbage on a campaign basis.
The cleaning work at Telibandha Marine Drive Gauravpath was being done by contractor Universal Auto and Motor Repairing on consent basis. The Zone Commissioner of the concerned Zone 4 has ordered the concerned cleaning contractor to immediately stop the work being done on consent basis.
