Dues and court order-Many retired policemen had filed a petition in the High Court. They said that they should get the benefit of 300 days leave encashment like the policemen of Madhya Pradesh. They also cited the Supreme Court’s decision. On January 29, 2025, the court had ordered the SSP to pay all the policemen their dues within 90 days. But, this order has not been followed till now. Due to this, the retired policemen filed a contempt petition in the court.
SSP gets notice-The court has issued a notice to SSP Rajnesh Singh asking why his order was not followed? He will have to answer why the policemen did not get their money on time. This matter is now in court and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
What is the whole matter?-This matter is actually about equality. Retired policemen want that they should also get facilities like the policemen of Madhya Pradesh. They say that according to the Supreme Court’s decision, they have this right. But, there is a delay on the part of the administration, due to which the retired policemen are upset. Now it remains to be seen what decision the court gives in this matter.
