On Yoga Day, Mayor Meenal and public representatives gave the message of healthy lifestyle by doing yoga

On the banks of Karbala lake, the mayor along with councillors, senior citizens and common people practiced yoga under the guidance of a yoga teacher.

Zone president Gajju Sahu planted saplings in Corporation Zone 1 and common people practiced yoga, residents of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Amlidih did yoga asanas.

Raipur – Today, on the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, as per the prescribed protocol, the residents of the capital city gave a positive message to adopt a healthy lifestyle by practicing yoga, pranayam, chanting Om at various places. Mayor Meenal Chaubey, Chairman Suryakant Rathore, Culture Department Chairman Amar Gidwani reached the event organized in the capital city’s Kala Kendra in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation Culture Department and Zone 7 and in the presence of Additional Commissioner Vinod Pandey, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anjali Sharma, Zone 7 Zone Commissioner Rakesh Sharma, Executive Engineer Ishwar Lal Taware, as per protocol, along with children, youth, women, common people, did yoga, pranayama, Om pronunciation under the guidance of a yoga teacher and took a pledge to adopt a healthy lifestyle by practicing yoga regularly. Mayor Meenal Chaubey, Chairman Suryakant Rathore, Culture Department Chairman Amar Gidwani said that as a result of the special initiative and efforts of the successful Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, the United Nations declared June 21 as International Yoga Day under his able leadership. This is a wonderful gift of Modiji to the world. He extended his heartfelt wishes to all the citizens of the city on International Yoga Day and made a humble appeal to take a pledge to practice yoga regularly every day to stay healthy in life.

Mayor Meenal Chaubey earlier reached the program organized on International Yoga Day by Municipal Corporation Zone 7 on the banks of Karbala pond in Chaubey Colony and under the guidance of yoga teacher Mahi Bulani, yoga practice was done as per the protocol prescribed on International Yoga Day in the presence of Municipal Corporation Public Works Department President Deepak Jaiswal, Zone 7 Zone President Shweta Vishwakarma, Swami Atmanand Ward Councilor Anand Agarwal, former councilor Ashish Agarwal, former councilor representative Dinesh Sharma, social worker Bajrang Khandelwal, RD Tiwari Municipal Corporation School retired teacher Prakash Awasthi, Astrologer Acharya Pandit Vineetdhar Sharma, environmentalist Lalit Singhania, senior citizens, youth, women, general public and gave a positive message to the people to create a healthy environment through a healthy lifestyle. Mayor Meenal Chaubey extended her heartfelt wishes to the citizens on the 11th International Yoga Day and termed it as the beautiful result of the wonderful leadership and special human welfare efforts of the successful Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi and made a humble appeal to take a pledge to pave the way for happiness in life by adopting a healthy lifestyle by practicing yoga daily.

Doctor Dr. Shailesh Khandelwal said that daily yoga practice is essential for adopting a healthy lifestyle and made a humble appeal to all the citizens to take out time every day and practice yoga in the morning. Yoga teacher Mahi Bulani conducted the practice of chanting Om 3 times, Anulom Vilom, Bhramari Pranayam, Bhujangasana, Shavasana, Yogasana of hands and feet as per the prescribed protocol of International Yoga Day. On this occasion, Zone 7 Zone Commissioner Rakesh Sharma, Executive Engineer Ishwar Lal Taware, Zone Assistant Revenue Officer Amarnath Sahu were present. In the Municipal Corporation Zone 1 office, Zone President Gajju Sahu along with former councilor Godavari Sahu, Zone 1 Commissioner Dr. Divya Chandravanshi, Executive Engineer D.K. Paikra, Assistant Engineer Sharad Deshmukh, Deputy Engineer Sagar Thakur, Zone Health Officer Khemlal Devangan, officers and employees practiced yoga on International Yoga Day. Similarly, Zone 1 President Gajju Sahu along with former councilor Godavari Sahu, Zone 1 Commissioner planted saplings and gave a positive message to the people about environmental protection in the interest of society. On the 11th International Yoga Day, the residents of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana complex located in Amlidih under Raipur Municipal Corporation area practiced yoga as per the protocol under the guidance of a yoga teacher.
