SDRF and Police: Guardians of the Path- Under the direction of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the district police are working tirelessly to clear the snow. Teams have been working hard since Monday, removing thick layers of snow to create a safer passage for devotees. This is crucial, as the snowy path was previously slippery and dangerous. A Sacred Beginning: The Opening Ceremony- On Sunday morning at 10 am, the doors of Hemkund Sahib were officially opened. Granthi Milap Singh, Panj Pyare, and other sevaks carried the Guru Granth Sahib from Sachkhand to Darbar Sahib, where it was ceremonially installed. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness this sacred moment. The traditional ceremony was performed with reverence, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Prayers and Blessings: The First Ardas- Following the opening, Kulwant Singh performed Sukhmani Sahib’s Jap and a melodious Kirtan. At 12:30 pm, the first Ardas of the year took place, and the Hukamnama was read. This marked the official start of this year’s pilgrimage.
