The state has got a special identity in the country and the world due to the technical upgradation of museums: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that to develop the interest of youth towards our rich cultural heritage and heritages, it is necessary to present information in an attractive manner using the latest technology. The use of updated technology is also necessary for the conservation of heritages. From this point of view, the innovation of the State Museum to start the Immersive Experience Center is timely. World-class facilities are being developed for visitors in monuments and museums in the state. The way Madhya Pradesh is working in the rich tradition of museums has created a special identity of the state in the country and the world. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the program organized at the State Museum on the occasion of World Museum Day. He inaugurated the Immersive Experience Center and also virtually launched the programs organized in Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we are living in a changing India. This change can be seen in every field. Museums are now becoming a centre of interest, attraction and knowledge for historians and researchers as well as the general public. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav praised the State Museum and said that now the visit of tourists to Bhopal will remain incomplete without visiting the State Museum. He said that the School Education- Higher Education and Tourism Development Corporation should jointly make a division-wise sequence of museum visits for school-college students, this will connect the students with the rich historical heritage of the state and more and more people will be able to get acquainted with the features of the State Museum.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that activities are being conducted at various levels to connect the religious, cultural and historical centers of the state with the general public. Gates dedicated to great men are being developed on the main entry routes of the major cities of the state. Our temples were till now known only for worship. Mahakal Lok and other Loks built in the state have given the temples a form of faith, devotion as well as public interest. Ancient Indian architecture, currency system and the entire lifestyle were in an advanced form. Their conservation and presentation with the latest technology will help in keeping our rich heritage in accordance with the interest of the present and future generations.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited various stalls related to preservation and promotion of archaeology under the ‘Museum Fair’ organized in the State Museum premises. He got information about the digitization of documents including the type and function of excavation equipment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the miniatures made from 3D printing and costing of historical buildings and statues made from POP in the fair.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the first virtual museum center “Aankhon Dekha” in Madhya Pradesh, which will provide a unique digital experience to the visitors. This center will give an in-depth experience of the museum without any physical guide through interactive and immersive technology. This will give the visitors a close experience of history and they will be able to experience an exciting story journey of the grand historical palaces in stereoscopic 3-D. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also unveiled Wakankar Dada, the official mascot of the Directorate. This mascot has been dedicated to the works and contributions of the famous archaeologist Padmashree Vishnu Shridhar Wakankar.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the second edition of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s quarterly news letter “Offbeat Madhya Pradesh”. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released 11 new books published by the Directorate of Archeology. These include Archeology of Bhind district, Archeology of Ratlam district, Archeology of Betul district, Archeology of Barwani district, Archeology of Katni district, Chitirtha Rock Shelter of Bhopal, Chitirtha Rock Shelter of Raisen, along with the Conservation Manual and Rule Book of the Directorate. In the program, Principal Secretary Culture Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla gave information about the activities being carried out by the Directorate of Archeology.
