Review construction works regularly, complete the work within the time limit: Deputy Chief Minister Shukla

Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla conducted an in-depth review of the progress of various construction works of MPRDC in Rewa and Shahdol divisions in Bhopal. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla directed the officials to complete the construction work in a quality manner within the stipulated time frame. He said that regular review of the works in progress is mandatory, so that any kind of obstacle can be removed in time. Also, timely payment of the completed works should be ensured, so that the pace of work is maintained and effective use of the budget is possible. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla directed to start the work of the remaining part of the Sidhi-Singrauli four-lane road soon. He said that this road is very important for the overall development of the area. Administrative bottlenecks should be removed with top priority. 52 percent of the work of this project has been completed, while the remaining work is in process. Along with this, he directed to complete the remaining about 1 km road (from Dhekha Tiraha to Mandi) of Rewa-Beda-Semaria road funded by ADB (Asian Development Bank) soon. He said that this route is very busy, its early construction will provide great relief to the local citizens.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla reviewed the upgradation work of the two-lane road from Umaria to Shahdol. It was told that this work has been completed up to 93 percent and the remaining work is in progress. He instructed the officials that the work should be completed by the end of June at any cost. 14 percent work of Rewa Bypass Fourlane Road Project has been completed. In this, work of 2 out of 4 medium bridges, 14 out of 39 box culverts and 2 out of 5 necessary VUP (vertical under pass) is in progress. The Deputy Chief Minister told the officials that the work should be continuously monitored and the work should be completed with quality within the stipulated time frame. MD MPRDC Bharat Yadav and related departmental officers were present in the meeting.
